Rostov Veliky

Rostov Veliky is one of the oldest towns in the Golden Ring. It is located on the shores of Lake Nero. Rostov Veliky is located about 120 miles from Moscow.

For a place called Rostov-Veliky, or 'Rostov the Great', this place gives the impression of a sleepy village. Perhaps for this reason, the magnificent Rostov kremlin catches visitors off guard when its silver domes and whitewashed stone walls appear amid the dusty streets.
